Mandy Moobs: An Exclusive Interview
Currently streaming on Stan, RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under started with 10 amazing drag performers. Throughout the season they competed for the coveted crown and the title of “Down Under’s next drag superstar”. The four remaining queens are Freya Armani, Lazy Susan, Vybe, and Mandy Moobs. The finale will air today on Friday, December 20.
Brisbane queen Mandy Moobs, also known as the ‘mum’ of Brisbane. She is a fixture of the Queensland drag scene, having been nominated three years and counting for Best Drag Artist.
In an interview with Gay Sydney Australia, Mandy, 33, spoke about the amazing feeling of being in the Top Four, revealed the origin of her drag name, and dropped some interesting information about her tits and ass.

How was the experience of being on Drag Race Down Under? How does it feel to have made it onto the show?
Being able to showcase my world of drag was a dream that is now a reality – there’s always room for more pigs in the sty.
How does it feel to have made it this far in the competition? What would winning mean to you?
Not going to lie, it feels very correct! I have a lot of experience and I’m sure of who I am as a performer so I had high expectations of myself and I feel I didn’t let myself down
How has the experience of being on Drag Race Down Under changed you?
I have a lot more grey hair now (the little of my fibres that I have remaining) but I wouldn’t change it for the world. The show taught me more about myself than I realised.
Are you surprised by your fellow Top Four?
Looking back this was the correct top 4, however, I would have liked Brenda in there with me. It proves that anyone can go home at any time for any reason.
What was the biggest surprise of the competition?
The biggest surprise was how well Michelle did as a host, she absolutely nailed it and brought her unique brand to the program, the vibe was that she really wanted everyone to succeed.
Who was the shadiest queen on set? Details?
Nikita. No notes – well okay, she shaded me constantly through the competition and kept me humble, but I sent her home didn’t I?
What is the origin of your drag name?
Well Moobs are inspired by my pendulous moobs, I have little tiny jiggly ones so let’s celebrate them through drag.
What was your first time in drag like?
Like it is with most young Brisbane drag queens, being abducted and done up by older queens and going to Big Gay Day, it was rotten, and I’ve burned all the footage.
Is there anything about you that people are surprised to learn?
My tits are lovely, but what you’ll be pleased to know is that my ass is also legendary.
Is there anything important that you would like to share with our readers?
